Organisation background

Duke‑NUS Medical School (Duke‑NUS) was established through a landmark collaboration between Duke University and the National University of Singapore, with the objective of providing innovative education and impactful research that enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond.

The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) was established at Duke‑NUS in 2014 with the mission of forming regional platforms and networks to grow competencies, build capacity, and promote thought leadership in regulatory science and health policy in the Asia Pacific, with a focus on Southeast Asia. CoRE has established a strong and highly regarded education portfolio for industry professionals and regulators.

In 2023, Enterprise Singapore (EnterpriseSG) appointed CoRE to set up and lead the new Standards Development Organisation (SDO) supporting the Biomedical and Health Standards Committee (BHSC), to develop and promote national and international standards in the domain.

Open position 1: Senior Project Manager (AI and Health Informatics Standardisation)

CoRE‑SDO is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to provide technical and operational support in the AI and Health Informatics domain.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily work for Technical Committee for Healthcare and Health Informatics and its sub working groups covering AI in Healthcare, Genomics Informatics, Healthcare data interoperability, Medical device security, etc.
• Identify new standardisation opportunities in AI in Healthcare, Genomics Informatics, and Health Informatics ****for Singapore standards development in line with the objectives established by the Singapore Standard Council.
• Contribute to the development and promotion of key national and international standards with industry partners to support the transformation of Singapore’s industries.
• Review existing standards with industry partners to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Engage local stakeholders to facilitate adoption and implementation of Singapore standards, including organising launch events, conferences, and workshops.
• Convene meetings for technical committees and working groups consisting of industry partners and stakeholders.
• Facilitate partners’ engagement in international activities, including attendance at global meetings, study trips, and international standards development.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
